  Let me preface this by saying I've had minimal exposure to boat mechanic, but the few I've dealt with where terrible experiences. Bottoms Up Boat Repair was the first mind-blowingly awesome experience I've ever had with a boat mechanic.
  
  I bought a new used bass boat with a 200HP Mercury outboard and took it out 3 times on the 3rd trip the engine made a clang and I noticed no water was going through it. I thought it was only a water pump, I called a few places because I needed to get this done ASAP as I was leaving for Canadian fishing trip in 2 weeks. Bill at Bottoms Up said he could have it done in 2 days when everywhere else was 2-4 weeks back logged.
  
  I got a call from Bill halfway through the 2nd day with some unfortunate news. The damage to my motor was severe. One of the pistons had no compression and another had low compression. I was given two reasonable options, one was a rebuild and another was a new used engine; both outside my price range unfortunately. When I went to pick up my boat he began mentioning another potential solution, he had a 175hp motor he could swap in for me. It was reasonably priced and at this point I only had 10 days left before my trip to Canada (which I thought was done for at this point), Bill was confident he could get the job done in time.
  
  Bill kept me up to date with highlights on just how badly damaged the old motor was and how the repair was going. The only hiccup was the motor swap wasn't exactly part for part, so he had to custom fabricate a few parts. This unfortunately took additional time and bumped up the agreed upon price by about $275.
  
  As promised Bill was able to deliver my boat on time with the repair done and the engine sounded way healthier than the 200hp ever did. He suspected my propellor was to blame for the engine damage as it was oddly small for the engine. He was kind enough to loan me a prop for my week long trip! No deposit or collateral! Showing that kind of trust in me with a $200 stainless steel prop was the cherry on top of an overall phenomenal experience.
  
  Bottoms Up Boat Repair will be my go to place for any needs from here on out!

  Purchased Miss Eileen from Billy last October. Had some engine issues which Billy took care of. He is very attentive to detail and I believe he sincerely tries to do his best to preserve his reputation.
